Avion Security Services Ltd. is a privately owned and operated security training provider based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We offer instruction in Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST) course taught by professional instructors. Our expertise is training, always emphasizing a student’s career as a security professional. We walk through with our students in their career journey, whether that’s helping them advance in a specific career path or transition over to a new one. We provide innovative, flexible, and alternative educational programs and services to all sectors of society in a caring, positive, and success-oriented atmosphere. Our classes are delivered in-person, online, and in blended environments – forging a path to success that is tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Courses: ABST

Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST) is a mandatory 40-hour course requirement before the licence exam for every individual who wishes to work as a security professional in Alberta unless exempted under the Security Services and Investigators Act (SSIA). Our ABST course provides practical insights and real-world knowledge to excel as a security professional. Offering the flexibility of online or in-person learning during the weekdays and weekends, you can choose the format and schedule that best suits your needs and preferences.

Course Schedule:

Weekday Course (Monday through Friday)

Weekend Course (Saturdays and Sundays)

 

First Aid & CPR

This two-day comprehensive course provides first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to those who need training due to work requirements or who wish to expand their knowledge on how to handle emergencies at workplace or home. The course incorporates the most recent first aid and CPR guidelines and satisfies the legislation requirements for provincial/territorial workplace safety, insurance and regulatory bodies.

Duration: Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED: 14–15 hours of teaching time.

Certification: 3-year certification in First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED

Blended Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED: 8 hours online learning, 5.5-7.5 hours teaching time.

As, Founder of Avion Security Services Ltd. Munish Mehta brings more than 20 years of professional experience to Avion Security. Munish, as he’s better known as, has vast knowledge and experience working in various capacities in different sectors including Law, Education, Management & Administration, Human Resource Training & Development, Security and Health Services.

Munish always believes that every day he is a learner and that learning is an ongoing and never-ending process. For him, ABST interactive course learning is not only imparting knowledge to the students but also learning with students where they share their knowledge with each other. He always concludes himself with the lines of Robert Frost:
